The beautiful Sandbank west Wales luxury holiday cottage is the perfect base from which to explore the majestic Cardigan coastline. Just a short stroll away from tumbling waves and sandy beaches, you won’t have far to trek your beach day necessities.
Sandbank is an impressively spacious property that sleeps up to 12 people across 6 beautifully finished rooms. Featuring a ground floor kingsize suite that offers a touch of indulgence for the holiday organiser, whilst the other rooms, that includes 2 others with ensuites, give plenty of space for everyone to relax and then get ready for the day ahead – no more fighting for a bathroom slot!
This coastal holiday cottage offers private parking for five cars so it offers the perfect bolthole for friends or family members that may be coming from far reaching stretches of the UK. Once settled, you can all catch up in the spacious kitchen diner with sea views, and possibly the odd passing dolphin, for your backdrop.
Outside you have an enclosed walled garden complete with swim spa, the perfect place to soothe muscles aching from a day of making sandcastles or even playing a few rounds of golf. With two golf courses in Gwbert alone, you can have your pick and, with farm parks and boat trips also nearby there is no end to the fun things to do in Cardigan for the kids – big and small!
For the wildlife enthusiasts, you might be thrilled to learn that neighbouring Cardigan Bay is home to the largest number of resident bottlenose dolphins in Europe, making a sighting likely during your stay. There are also a selection of native coastal birds and wading birds in the estuary as well as grey seals and even the odd basking shark and whale has been spotted in recent years!
While out and about you may be tempted by some of the local produce on offer at the nearby farmers market, which you can then cook up in the modern kitchen diner surrounded by friends and family. On the nights you feel like hanging up the chef’s apron, there’s no end to the fantastic places to eat and drink in Cardigan and Gwbert, including our partners at The Cliff Hotel and Spa and Gwbert Hotel, just opposite Sandbank.
